There are so many great landscape architects/architects that inspire us that these posts barely scratch the surface.  Still, at the same time, it’s always great to take another look at these works.

We are always studying successful landscapes to inform our design decisions from hard-edge, modern design, to ecological design, to softer, more organic aesthetics.

Here are just a few of the older, more classic gardens that we rediscovered this summer while looking around, they are so magical in their use of materials, geometry, water, runnel systems, colors, vistas, meticulous detail…; Ryoan-ji (Japan), Katsura (Japan), Nishat-Bagh (Kashmir), The Alhambra (Spain)
